Privacy Policy

GameFlixer is a product of AI Canadian Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data GameFlixer collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account, we never sell your data, and we never copy your media — GameFlixer is a player, not a finder.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, username, email address and a hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Plan and billing references. Your plan tier and, if you subscribe, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Card numbers never touch our servers — payment details are collected and stored by Stripe.
- Your uploads. ROM files you upload to your library, plus their titles, systems, cover art and play history (e.g. when a game was last played). Uploads live in private storage, are visible only to your account, and are never shared with, or browsable by, other users.
- Cloud game saves. Emulator save states synced to your account, if your plan includes them.
- Connected sources. If you connect a Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server, we store its address and the access token needed to talk to it. We stream from your server on your instruction — we never copy your media to our systems.
- Sign-in and session data. Active sessions, "remember me" tokens and password-reset tokens.
- Remote-play signalling tokens. Short-lived connection tokens used when you stream your own computer's games to another device. They self-expire within minutes.
- Server logs. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) kept for a short rolling window for security and abuse prevention, then automatically discarded.
- Aggregate usage counts. Anonymous numbers such as how many times a free game or an ad placement was opened. These contain no identifier traceable to you.
What we do NOT collect
- No card or bank numbers (Stripe holds those).
- No copies of your media libraries — Jellyfin/Emby/Plex content stays on your server.
- No contact lists, location data, microphone or camera access.
- No third-party analytics or advertising trackers on GameFlixer's own pages.
Free games are served by third-party providers
The free web games in GameFlixer are delivered by external game providers (such as GameDistribution, GamePix and similar networks). When you play a free game, that provider's own code runs inside the game frame and may set its own cookies and show its own advertising, under its own privacy policy. We do not control, and do not receive, the personal data those providers collect. Games you upload yourself involve no third-party provider.
Why we collect it
- To operate your account, library, saves and connected sources — the service itself.
- To process subscription payments and comply with tax law.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve GameFlixer.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing, if you subscribe.
- Third-party game providers — only in the sense described above: their code runs when you choose to play their free games. We do not hand them your account data.
- Nobody else, except if the law compels us or to protect the service from attack.
How long we keep it
- Account data, uploads, saves and connected-source credentials: until you delete them or your account.
- Payment and tax records: up to 7 years, as Canadian tax and accounting law requires.
- Security logs: a short rolling window, then discarded.
- Backups rotate on a short cycle, so deleted data ages out of backups shortly after deletion.
Your choices and rights
- Delete any uploaded ROM or cloud save yourself at any time, while signed in.
- Disconnect a Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server at any time — the stored token is deleted immediately.
- Request a copy of your personal data, a correction, or full account deletion by email. Deletion is described in detail on the account deletion page.
Children
GameFlixer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on the site.
